MTK 446 electronic timer: features
Standard features
- configurable for F1A, F1B and F1C models
- maximum DT time: 999.99 s
- up to 17 timed commands
- timing accuracy: 0.02 s
- servo setting accuracy: about 0.3°
- controls one or two servos
- configurable servo gain and neutral position
- sleep mode for battery saving
- configurable beep after DT for model location
- configurable battery check
- power switch eliminated to reduce flying field errors
- all timer switch sensors are hermetically sealed or
Hall-effect devices for added reliability
- RCDT radio override for trimming
Timer setting
- reprogrammable microprocessor with control program and
flight program held in non-volatile flash memory
- control program is user upgradable
- flight programs are maintained and loaded into the timer
with a CASIO digital diary or Palm Pilot PDA
F1A options
- failsafe DT mode
- bailout timer for tow hook unlatch (not for the inertial
hook)
- configurable bailout action
- On Line Acceleration (OLA) system controls the stabiliser
during pre-launch acceleration
- inertial tow hook support. The inertial hook opens its
latch during pitch up just after release, starting the
timer
- foolproof operation. The combination of no power switch and
timer restart sequence makes it impossible to forget to start
the timer before the flight
F1C and F1B options
- tachometer option.
- configurable sampling intervals from 0.5 seconds
upward
- RPM data can be uploaded and displayed on the programming
device
Altimeter option
- altimeter option allows two timed altitude measurement per
flight with 1 m accuracy
- the timer calculates the average vertical speed
- altitude measurements can be uploaded and displayed on the
programming device
